umm..hey everyone. There happens to be a lot of discussion about what should and shouldn't happen in this wiki. And I know that there is lot of room for improvement around here. I would like to hear it from everyone what changes you'd like to see in the wiki and why.
But remember, the suggestions ought to have a good reason.
I hope to see many of your ideas on the what you'd like to see happen. I'd also appreciate your thoughts on other ideas and suggestions. Thanks for you contribution..
I know I have only been here for a day or so, but here is what I think. It would be nice to have a full list of enemies... and then pages for each and every one --
The real probem I have seen sinse getting here is the lack of people on. People always ask the same questions in chat over and over, and never even realize there is a wiki. Even when they know there is a wiki they ask the chat. For this reason I think it would be a good idea to add a FAQ page, a QUICK GLANCE page and possibly move some of the in game guilds to forums to get people active.
If we could get a developer to put a link to the wiki in the corner of the game it would greatly help the wikis activity, and as such it would also help the amount of content. And ofcorse ine exchange for a better wiki the devs would get more new players sticking arround to play the game.
Navigating this wiki is fairly annoying. Hence I would prepose to simply design it like the game. The front page should be a map, just like the one in the game. By clicking on each flag you could see a page for said battle. There it should list the enemies, the layout and so forth. That being said we also need layouts and all battlefields in this wiki as to help direct people.
As it stands this wiki is a joke. No harsh fealings as I can tell some people have been spending a lot of time here, but until you can have a page with each battle that says the stats of every creature inside said battle you are going to face a lot of problems. People want to come to a wiki full of information, not one that is empty. As of now geting older players to contribute should be our number 1 goal.
Personnally, I would like to see the maximum stats of heroes for every rank, not just legendary. It's nice enough in order to compare one hero to another, but most users are unlikely to reach Legendary for each hero.
Edit: I've editted the statboxes to include all the ranks, now all we've got to do is collect the info.. -Frost
On the top is a round bound avatar as you would see an elite from the guild screen. Its somewhat nice in that it does not show the rank in the corner, it just has the background match the rank.
Here in the middle we have the avatar from your heros page, it is square bound and shows rank.
And on the bottom is also from heros page. For the most part the avatars don't realy change a whole lot. Recruit, novice and elite all have the same avatar as eachother except with a background color switch. Master, champion and legendary have a seperate avatar from recruit, novice and elite, but master champ and legendary are the same as eachother except for a bacground change.
And picture 1 and 2 are very similar. Any prefrences as to which ones we should have? All of them? Just 1 and 3? Just 2 and 3? Just the 3rd?
Did you have something else in mind?
Due to the similarity from ranks it seems like other then Novice, and Master avatars the rest are not needed as they are so similar.
Ah, ok. In game avatars shouldn't to too hard. There is three of us, we could all just screenshot every enemy in PvP. Then ee can deleete the repeats after. It would be perfible if they were all taken from the front, and if possible with no one behind them.
I'd really like if we could post on the characters, too.
Like the main canon cast ( Hero, Cerys , Cpt. Redd, Bishop Rook, Locke, Glass, Brian & Farclaw ), guest characterts ( as the Dirty Jackal Dancer ) and also important characters, such as the Hero's Uncle, King of Midland and the North Wolflands chief. Maybe some of those could be added to the class pages, as a 'story mode character' section.
1) I would like to see which units have skills that are effective against certain races alongside the races page. For example, archer good against Beast but all units good against Beast be listed here. Rogue vs Human, etc
2) I would like to see on the summary page of dunegoens which map is needed to unlock them. On the same lines, which map unlocks access to the next area in the overworld.
3) Not sure if this is something easily communicated but it would be great to see how the units of different rarities are progressions of certain "lines". So an archer > sniper > huntress > ice fang huntress. So almost like a family tree of rarities and how the units are combinations of lower rarity units. The matching process would be based off their type of attack/weapon and skill combination. I can work on creating a table based on what I see available on the wiki
Well, the units don't fit well into said catigories. I havent played in awhile, so I am probily not the best person to order them even if they did. The thing really is that you would need more of a flow chart...Also, I'm not so sure how relevent rarity really is when it comes to the chart. I was thinking about going by rarity, but it doesnt seem to fit nearly as nice, and as it is its already a struggle. Curantly its somewhere inbeteen rarity/strength, but is primarily based on catigories.
